In France, the Pink Ribbon association launches each year a major awareness campaign against breast cancer. The objectives? To lift taboos, encourage screening, support research and carry the message of all those affected directly or indirectly by this disease unfortunately widespread among women.

According to Ruban Rose, one French woman out of 8 is likely to get breast cancer at some point in her life. More than 75 of the cancers affect women over 50, for whom prevention and screening are therefore paramount. This disease also affects men at an exceptional level (about 1 es breast cancers) but few prevention is done for male breast cancer. That's why Pink Ribbon promotes prevention for everyone.

Continuing its societal commitment to women's rights, exemplified by its partnership with the Women's Foundation, L'Exception in this month of Pink October highlights two brands and their creations supporting this cause: Marie Martens and Aurélie Bidermann. The collections of these houses are available on the L'Exception website and at the eco-responsible boutique of La Caserne.

Marie Martens' philosophy: "You are boobstiful!"



French leather goods brand Marie Martens dedicates its "BOOBS" small leather goods collection to all women. 10 he sales of the collection are donated to the associations Ruban Rose (for France) and Think Pink (for Belgium). The Pink Ribbon association, which implements a major breast cancer campaign in October, acts to raise awareness of early detection and regular medical monitoring to prevent the disease. It also supports the financing of research, thanks to the Pink Ribbon prize awarded each year to targeted projects. Think Pink does the same awareness work in Belgium, and financially supports research and people affected by breast cancer. For Marie Martens, of Belgian origin, it was obvious to support these two associations.


The designer's chic and funky style can be found in this collection, sprinkled with a touch of provocative humor as the snaps declined on all models recall the shape of small breasts. Marie Martens plays with codes to celebrate a light and colorful femininity. Fun but also committed accessories, the pieces in the BOOBS collection invite women to enjoy their bodies and take care of them. Life in pink with Aurélie Bidermann


The designer Aurélie Bidermann declines her collection ”Katt” in a new shade of pink recalling the color symbol of this month of awareness. The collection pays tribute to Katt Both, a female figure of the Bauhaus movement who revolutionized architecture and the art of living. The collection comes in three pieces of jewelry offered at L'Exception: a cuff, a ring and a bracelet, all featuring the subtle combination of yellow gold and powder pink. These creations with their clean lines and soft tones illustrate the elegant and modern style of the house. The pink color of the "Katt" collection is a subtle reminder of the month of Pink October. The house donates 10% of its October sales to the association Ruban Rose.
