Perus came to life in 2014 following a journey among friends in Peru. Enchanted by the country and its culture, Armand, Nicolas, and Henri sought a way to share this experience with the world through a unifying product. During a stroll through a market in Cusco, they discovered pairs of sneakers adorned with Inca motifs. It was a love at first sight moment, and thus, the Perus product was born!

Since its inception, Perus has been created with the intention of promoting a distinctive mode of production and consumption. The team embraces the concept of sustainable fashion, carefully managed to minimize its impact on the environment, respect artisans, and ultimately, satisfy customers.

To achieve this, Perus values established craftsmanship and meticulously selects its materials. The use of certified organic cotton (GOTS) is prioritized, and alpaca wool comes from extensive farms focusing on the well-being of animals. The leather meets REACH standards, and Leather Working Group (LWG) certified tanneries are preferred to ensure the safety of leather for human health and the environment. Finally, each artisan is fairly compensated, and their working hours adhere to legal standards."
