About Edwin
The origins of the Japanese Edwin brand go back to 1947.
In the post-war period, Mr. Tsunemi imported used jeans from the United States, which he washed, repaired and sold second-hand. In 1951, after obtaining traditional looms, Edwin made the first Japanese fabrics and the world's heaviest ringspun denim jeans (16oz), with the famous tricolor rainbow selvedge, still in use today.
Today the brand has conquered the Japanese market and has set out to conquer the United States and Europe, offering jeans with modern, quality cuts.
