About Marianna Ladreyt
French from cypriot blood, Marianna is fascinated by the greek toga and its mythologies, and how this iconic & archaic piece of garment can claim its modernity.
Finalist of the International Festival of Fashion in Hyères in 2017, Marianna launched in 2018 a collection of bags, which lead to the launch in february 2019 of her eponymous label of ready-to-wear and accessories.
Her collection mixes an undoubtedly technical and sportswear spirit with a mythological fascination ; where the designer's interest in togas and knots shows through.
She says it herself: "I am fascinated by the toga, by the simplicity of the gesture with the knot that one makes and undoes, which remains and shows the frozen movement without freezing it".
