About Closed
In 1968, the two French stylists, Marithé and François Guirbaud, set out to launch the first Italian denim label. Having found "ÇA" as first name for the brand, it is finally under the name Closed that the brand starts in 1978. In 1990, the brand is sold to Hans Leplow and Günther Giers, trading partners based in Hamburg and retaken in 2009 by the son of Günther Giers, Gordon and his friends Til Nadler and Hans Redlefsen.
These different alliances have given the brand a unique character with a strong and multicultural heritage. "German tradition, French inspiration, Italian know-how". It's a motto that the German brand likes to remember.
Today, the brand has grown, offering a full dressing room, streetwear oriented, in harmony with his time.
Closed is integrated into our "Smart Choice" philosophy because the brand continuously try to find new ways to reduce the environmental impact of its collections.
