With a close-knit workforce of 33 regional artisans as part of ECOMUSA, each pair of shoes has a sole made from 60% wild rubber which has been concentrated and pressed to ensure endlessly durability.

Piola means « elegant » in Peruvian language.
Piola works with wild rubber producers located in the Madre de Dios region, in the heart of the Peruvian Amazonian rainforest.
They buy wild rubber directly from producers at 5 times the local market price. When you buy a pair of Piola, you are actively participating in improving the quality of life and work of our producers.
Per pair sold, 2€ are donated for the construction or renovation of rubber workshops, and to help identify rubber trees located in remote areas. We also connect their homes to electricity (using solar panels) and clear water.
Investments are numerous. It contributes to economics, social and infrastructure development.
Using raw materials with an excellent traceability, they ensure quality and know-how. Their production is located in Portugal where they select each of raws materials. Their natural rubber offers flexibility and longevity. The handmade production ensure a refined and modern aesthetic.
