After studying marketing and starting her career in the world of jewellery and watchmaking, passing through the big house Fabergé, Nawal Laoui founded the brand Persee Paris in 2017, at only 25 years old, back from a round the world trip.
Persee Paris is a jewellery brand, specialized in diamond. The idea is to sublimate the precious stones and give them their freedom to sparkle on women’s skin like the golden rain that fell on Danae, the mother of Perseus in mythology. Nawal Laoui is indeed passionate about mythology, as well as travel. We find these influences in his creations as well as his Moroccan origins, with for example the collection around the fibula, a tie of clothing emblematic of the Berber culture.
Nawal Laoui is an adventurer in the soul, like the mythological character of Perseus. During her journey around the world, she acquired know-how and discovered ancestral techniques. She was particularly interested in the technique of diamond drilled in Japan, which she uses to create her jewellery.
On Persee Paris creations, the diamond is indeed pierced with laser and fixed to the jewel thanks to a delicate ring, and not set or mounted. The diamond is thus more free, presented naked, in its purest form, for a symphony of light and brilliance.
The Persée Paris jewels are light, timeless, with sober and poetic lines. Among the collections of the young Parisian label, you will find classic jewels, all in finesse, set with a diamond or coloured stones, as well as models with more contemporary lines, long necklaces in a bohemian style, with numbered medallion or lettering, jewels with eye or face pattern but also models that mix colors for more fantasy.
