About Marshall
Marshall, it is a name, a story, a passion, an institution. In 1960, Jim Marshall, drummer in a band and music lover opened a popular drum shop for rock bands of the time. Listening to their opinions and recommendations, he realized that the amps were not good enough. In 1962, he created the first Marshall amp head.
In 1965, he invented the stack, a set of speakers stacked on top of each other surmounted by an amp head. Marshall will see his sound being recognized by the greats like Jimmy Hendrix, Eric Clapton, or The Who.
Today the brand is expanding its range by offering headphones and nomad speakers.
