"When Shooter and I decided to enter into the creative process for this album two years ago, we were both touring on our own and needed to find time in our respective schedules. We both had a shared love for the era in which Bowie was working with Brian Eno. I wasn't afraid to step out of my comfort zone by writing music with him. He also helped me overcome my fears of returning to older inspirations. As a producer, he really helped me to be inventive while trying new things, keeping the essence of what Marilyn Manson is. His perspectives added the trans-dimensional effect to the project that I wanted to go towards for a long time. When I listen to We are chaos now, I feel like I've stayed true, or like my story is an endless repeating loop, as it always has been, recording the songs and these stories makes me feel like I've written everything today."
