About Chatelles
The story says that François du Chastel was madly in love with a woman. So he created a pair of slippers especially for her, with a Victor Hugo's verse inside : "Je ne puis demeurer... loin de toi plus longtemps"("I can no longer... dwell away from thee"). The lady instantaneously felt in love for the shoes instead of François. In his heartache, he decided to creates his own slippers' brand, Chatelles.
All the shoes are hand-crafted in Portugual, mixing originality and classicism. You can also find inside of each pair of shoes the famous Victor Hugo alexandrine. Those super comfortable shoes will follow you in style from work to the evening.
